Feb 26, 2020 · Click on ‘three dots menu’ button at the top right corner of the Chrome window. In the menu go to ‘More tools’, then ‘Extensions’. Look for ‘Hide My History’, ‘HideMyHistory’ and other suspicious extensions. Click ‘Remove’ to uninstall the browser extension. Click ‘Remove’ in the dialog box. In the Google Apps Admin Console(C Panel) go to Device Management>Chrome management>User settings. Under the Security heading find the Incognito Mode setting and set it to "Disallow incognito mode" and set the Browser History setting to "Always save browser history". - This does not actually prevent users from clearing the history. Click the three dots in the upper right, then choose Settings. Once in the Settings menu, scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on Advanced. Scroll down a bit more, to the Privacy and Security section. Find the Content Settings option and click it. I cannot find the setting now to turn off browser history. I have all the syncing features turned off except for syncing my bookmarks. Yet, still I open up chrome and start to type something and it pulls up searches and sites I went on since the last time I cleared my history.

There also plenty of chrome extensions that provide alternative history syncs etc, you might fine one of them that will spool off the history to another location for It would be helpful if you could type chrome://policy in the URL bar and then post a screenshot of the policies that are being set.
