I have given up on getting the EA6300 to work the way I wanted it and will get another router. In order to not be out of pocket for a piece of plastic and electronics in the dumps, I was thinking of setting up the EA 6300 as a "dumb" access point, just forwarding the DHCP and DNS from the router and thus expanding the reach of the wireless network.
